Slack

When you first join The Owl Centre, your acceptance email will include information about how to sign up to Slack, the app we use to communicate as a group.

The Nest's menu sidebar contains a 'Slack' option, which sets out 6 steps of instructions on how to get set up.

Whether you use the desktop version of Slack and / or the mobile app, make sure that you have Notifications switched on. Step 5 sets out details about how to switch on Notifications on the desktop app.

Note that on the desktop and mobile versions, you might need to scroll down the Notifications settings screen to ensure that all of the settings are as required.

Note also that you should check your mobile phone's settings to ensure that it allows notifications (from Slack). If you don't know how, google (something like) "how to make sure notifications for apps are switched on iPhone".
