Discharging Clients

You can discharge any of your clients. Doing this will remove them from your caseload but will not remove them from the system (so if another therapist is seeing the client, you will not affect their caseload; and you can always easily add them to your caseload again by searching for them in the blue-lined search box at the top right of the Nest).

To discharge a client, click on the Clients option in the Nest sidebar, and then click on the name of the client in question. You will see at the top of the screen a red 'Discharge' button. Choose this.

Discharging Patients

There may be times when you want to discharge a patient but not the associated client (if, for example, you're providing therapy to a school [client] and seeing a lot of patients on its behalf). To do this, click on the Patients option in the Nest sidebar, and then click on the cog on the right hand side of the patient's name. An 'Unlink patient' option will appear. Select this. As with discharging clients, the patient will remain on the system so you don't have to worry about deleting the data for other therapists.
