Getting started on the Nest

The Owl Centre’s new IT system (nest.theowltherapycentre.co.uk) is a work in progress. There are a lot of updates (more functionality) to come, and this guide will be updated as they arrive.
General Points
Using Safari (Apple’s web browser) seems to produce some bugs. The developers will try to iron these out. However, they recommend using Google Chrome in the mean time.
A guiding principle about billing: clients will be told by our main office or our website the cost for the original appointment. However, if any additional costs are (ever) to be incurred by them (e.g. if resources need to be made up for them), they must be notified in advance.
You will be provided with (a) an account for the Nest (our timesheet and enquiries/bookings system, amongst other things), (b) an invitation to join Slack (our app for group discussions), and (c) an Owl Centre email account. Your log-in for the Nest and Slack is likely to be the email account with which you originally contacted us (i.e. NOT your Owl Centre email account). You will be able to access Slack via the Nest, but downloading the mobile app is also recommended.
Initial Set-Up
After you join The Owl Centre, you will be sent an email with a link to activate the account (the email will probably be sent to your personal email address, which will become your log-in address). Follow the steps on this link.
Initial Checks
Click on My Team. Have you been added to the correct team (the name of the Team Leader will be listed)? If not, email office@theowltherapycentre.co.uk
Click on Price List. This will show the fees for clients for your discipline. Are they correct? Have you been added to the correct discipline(s)? If not, email office@theowltherapycentre.co.uk
Resources
Click on Online Resources to find the Resources folder associated with your discipline, and the Stationery pack. Clicking on the various folders will open up others. There is also an Inventory where you can order physical items to be couriered to your home for short term use.
